Dig & Clean locations: all 3 islands and what unlocks them
If you searched dig and clean locations expecting a long list, the honest count is three: Starter Island, where every run begins, and the two islands you have to unlock from there. Two are fully priced. One is not, and we say so rather than guess.
All 3 Dig & Clean locations
Two independent guide sites (digcleangame.wiki and dig-and-clean.wiki) enumerate the same three dig and clean locations and neither names a fourth, so this is the complete map, not a partial one. An early lead calling the starting area "Nookville" with items like apples and a football turned out to belong to a different Roblox game with a near-identical name; it is not used here.
| Island | Unlock cost | Best for | Skip if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter Island | Free — where every player spawns | Every run, always — it is the only island reported to hold the Museum and Sell NPCs. | Never — no source we read describes leaving it behind, only islands added on top of it. |
| Shipwreck Cove | Not published yetNot published yet | Farming Gold once Starter Island digs feel poor. Guides describe "access to better shovels" here without naming which ones or a shop to compare against. | You are already saving toward Sphinx Sands and Starter Island still pays — we cannot tell you Shipwreck Cove is worth the detour without a published price to weigh it against. |
| Sphinx Sands | ReportedPay the Pirate NPC 2,500,000 Gold | Omega items (4x Luck) and the Aquamarine gear shop, the highest-stat item in every line. | You have not checked whether Shipwreck Cove pays off first — we cannot compare the two on cost since one price is missing. |

How long until I can afford Sphinx Sands?Reported
No source publishes this — it is your own estimate from a recent run. Leave it blank to see just the shortfall.
Sphinx Sands: 2,500,000 Gold
Enter your Gold total to see how far off you are.
What the 4x Luck buys youReported
| Aquamarine Detector alone | 850x Luck |
|---|---|
| Aquamarine Detector times the 4x island bonus | 3,400x Luck (assumes the two stack by multiplying) |
Two things are unverified here, not one: whether Sphinx Sands’ Luck bonus actually multiplies a detector’s stat this way, and, even if it does, how many more Omega items that buys over a run. Nobody has published either, so treat 3,400x as an unconfirmed guess built on published numbers, not a working rate.
Which island should I unlock next?
Guides describe players moving Starter Island then Shipwreck Cove then Sphinx Sands, in that order, and our own comparator works the same way: use what you own now to price the next step. None of the sources we read state that Sphinx Sands is actually locked behind finishing Shipwreck Cove first — it is a route guides recommend, not a hard gate we could confirm. If you already have 2,500,000 Gold, nothing we found says you have to visit Shipwreck Cove on the way.
What we cannot tell you is whether Shipwreck Cove is worth the stop for its own sake — its unlock cost has no published number to weigh against what it returns. Sphinx Sands is easier to justify: the price, the Luck bonus and the gear shop are all sourced, so the payback calculator above only runs the numbers for that island.
Frequently asked about Dig & Clean locations
Reviewed 17 Aug 2026.
How many locations does Dig & Clean have?
Three. All the dig and clean locations we could verify are Starter Island (free, the spawn point and home base with the Museum and Sell NPCs), Shipwreck Cove (a mid-game Gold farm we could not find a published unlock cost for), and Sphinx Sands (2,500,000 Gold via the Pirate NPC, plus a 4x island Luck bonus). Two independent guide sites list the same three and neither names a fourth.
What does Sphinx Sands cost to unlock?
2,500,000 Gold, paid to the Pirate NPC. Two sources we checked (bloxodes.com and simplegameguide.com) agree on that number independently, and it also matches the Aquamarine gear stats sold there against our own gear catalogue.
How do I get to Sphinx Sands?
By boat: open the Islands menu and press E, then pick Sphinx Sands. That travel method is reported by simplegameguide.com and digcleangame.wiki; we have not confirmed it ourselves in-game.
How much does Shipwreck Cove cost to unlock?
Not published yet. Two competitor wikis (digcleangame.wiki and dig-and-clean.wiki) went looking for this number and neither found it either, which tells you the gap is in the game itself, not in this page.
What does the 4x Luck bonus at Sphinx Sands actually do?
The island multiplies Luck by 4x; a detector’s own Luck stat is published separately. No source states how the two combine, so multiplying them together is our own arithmetic on an assumed stacking rule, not a confirmed in-game number. What either number does to your actual Omega drop rate has never been published by any source we found, so we show the multiplier and stop there rather than inventing a percentage.
Is Sphinx Sands the best place to dig?
For Omega items specifically, the sources that mention Omega farming at all (bloxodes.com, simplegameguide.com) point to Sphinx Sands, and it is the only island we found a gear shop documented for. Whether it beats Shipwreck Cove for ordinary Gold farming is not something we can compare, because Shipwreck Cove has no published unlock cost to weigh against it, and no source rules out a Shipwreck Cove shop we simply have not found.
